Affordable Housing Intensive

This year, the Affordable Housing Intensive will be led by Willa Williford, Cheeying Ho, and Shawn Hill. The Intensive will focus on projects, including a run-through of recent projects throughout the west. Though many housing solutions are available, they are not always replicable across jurisdictions. We will include a case study where various housing solutions have been tailored in Teton County, Idaho, a resource-strapped community in a community with significant state prohibitions with regard to affordable housing.  We’ll also highlight BC’s “Homes for People” initiative and how it can be applied to “missing middle” best practices with the proper affordability/availability tools.

Most importantly, we will give you a chance to tell your story. The last half of the affordable housing intensive will feature an interactive exercise where you can explore housing solutions with your peers.
